Emmerdale's Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle face a new surrogacy setback

Their journey to parenthood just isn't coming easy.

Emmerdale's Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle will soon have their hopes of becoming parents through surrogacy compromised.

This week, Robert (Ryan Hawley) surprises Aaron (Danny Miller) by finally agreeing to attend a surrogacy meeting after months of resistance. However, Robert has been insistent on seeing through any surrogacy in the US because the couple would have more rights

Robron will finally be getting their meeting in upcoming episodes with surrogate Natalie, but disaster strikes before they even get to meet her. Aaron is stressed in the hours before the meeting, then Robert gets stuck on the road.

The pair are forced to ask Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) and Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) to keep Natalie occupied until they can get to the meeting – which turns out to be a huge mistake.

While trying to talk up Robert and Aaron, Faith and Bear get totally carried away making up elaborate lies about Robron in hopes of impressing Natalie. But will they actually scare her off instead?

The disastrous surrogacy meeting runs the risk of once again destabilising Robert and Aaron, after they were only recently able to get back on the same page.

Tension between the couple blew up last month when Robert found out that Aaron had tried bribing a surrogate mother who'd already had an existing agreement with another couple.

Emmerdale airs Mondays through Fridays at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays as well.
