The end could be nigh for Daz Spencer in Emmerdale following a hit and run incident which has left a main character for dead. With Daz having been drunk at the wheel, he fled the scene in a panic and now makes plans to leave for good before the police catch up with him.

Daz had found his abandoned car after the village teenagers had taken it for a joyride then lost control. Already hammered from a disastrous meeting with his new (and very short-lived) boss, Daz took the poor decision to try and drive home.

Noah Tate’s ringing phone in the back distracted him and he ran down a person. Seeingthe familiar face left lifeless, Daz made a run for it but as the dust settles, Amelia worries about her own involvement in the incident.

Kerry and Dan try to reassure Amelia that it will all be okay and the real culprit will be caught, little knowing that Daz is hatching a plan to make a break for it to the airport without saying goodbye.

But as he makes to leave, he spots an unwell Kerry collapses in the street and is forced to abandon his escape to save her. As Dan takes Kerry to the hospital, Daz returns to his getaway but Amelia catches him trying to exit and he is snookered.

As the net closes in and the police hunt their suspect, Daz fears the worst. Is he going down – or might he manage to get out of the village before it’s too late? Either way, it seems like his days are numbered.
