Emmerdale plans rape storyline for Victoria Barton during night out
Maya Stepney will also be exposed on the same night.
Emmerdale character Victoria Barton will be raped in an upcoming storyline centred on one single night.
The plot will play out later in the spring as the show is planning to experiment with non-linear storytelling and flashbacks.
According to The Sun, evil schoolteacher Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) will finally be exposed during the same night out, while a third character will be the victim of a stabbing.
There are no further details surrounding the storyline at present, but ITV released a promo clip earlier today (April 8), revealing that the drama will unfold later this month.
Back in February, producer Kate Brooks said that the night will "change some of the characters' lives for good".
"It's a night out for some of our characters, and we'll find out a week later what's gone on in that night out in a series of flashbacks," she said.
"Ostensibly it's, 'Hey, Emmerdale are out having fun in a club', but then it will be revealed that it will change some of our characters' lives for good."
Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden), and Ellis Chapman (Asan N'Jie) are some of the other characters involved in the storyline.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
