Emmerdale planning more seven-episode weeks in latest soap schedule change
More Dales drama than ever before.
Emmerdale fans are in for a treat this month, with at least two more seven-episode weeks planned.
The ITV soap is already airing a whopping seven times this week, as an extra episode was slotted in on Tuesday (April 9) at 8pm.
Future schedules have now revealed that Emmerdale will be keeping this pattern for at least the next two weeks.
Extra episodes have been slotted in on Tuesday, April 16 at 8pm and Tuesday, April 23 at 8pm, meaning that double bills will air both evenings.
As with this week, this means that Emmerdale avoids a clash with rival soap EastEnders but does go head-to-head with the first 30 minutes of Holby City on BBC One.
Schedules beyond April 26 have yet to be revealed, so how long the extra episodes are sticking around for remains to be seen.
Emmerdale recently released an atmospheric new trailer for its Big Night Out storyline, which will air later this month.
Leaks in the tabloids have suggested that the life-changing week of episodes will include a rape storyline for Victoria Barton, a stabbing and the long-awaited moment that Maya Stepney's abuse of Jacob Gallagher is finally exposed.
Show producer Kate Brooks previously confirmed that we'd see a number of popular characters heading off for a fateful night out, with the truth about what happened that night later being revealed through a series of flashbacks.
Emmerdale continues tonight (April 11) at 7pm and 8pm on ITV
