Eagle-eyed Emmerdale fans have noticed that baby Seb looked very different in the soap's latest episode.

The youngster returned to the show last night (April 16), after being absent for a little while. Robert Sugden went to collect Seb – who was living with mum Rebecca White and her partner Ross Barton — to take him to a surrogate meeting.

Robert and husband Aaron Dingle wanted Seb to be there while they met surrogate Natalie, as the pair are looking to start a family together with her help.

Viewers, however, noticed that baby Seb had been recast.

Previously, Seb had been played by a baby girl called Lily, but now the character is being portrayed a new young actor.

ITV didn't have anything to add when contacted by Digital Spy, but of course it's not uncommon for child characters to be frequently recast as they grow up.

Late last year, Emmerdale fans were upset for Robert and Aaron after they had to take Seb back to Rebecca. Since then, Seb has been living in Liverpool with Rebecca and Ross.

In other returnee news, former Emmerdale actor Frazer Hines – who played Robert's uncle Joe Sugden – recently expressed interest in returning. Joe was killed off-screen in an apparent car crash back in 1995.

"The fans always want me back," he told The Mirror. "They say, 'Why don't you come back for six months as a guest?' And I would do that."
