Emmerdale death fears for Ellis Chapman as Billy Fletcher receives a threatening message
How far will Max go?
Emmerdale's Billy Fletcher will fear for the life of his brother Ellis next week, as newcomer Max turns even nastier.
Billy realises that Ellis (Asan N'Jie) could be in terrible danger as the ITV soap airs its dramatic Big Night Out episodes, which will change lives in the village forever.
There's trouble ahead for Billy when he gets on the wrong side of his dangerous old acquaintance Max (Jordan Reece), who made his first appearance on screen last week.
Billy agrees to help Max carry out a robbery, but Ellis is concerned about his sibling's bad behaviour and intervenes by sabotaging the criminal activity.
Nervous Billy knows it's only a matter of time before Max retaliates – and his worst fears are realised when the gangster secretly follows Ellis into town for his night out clubbing with the other villagers.
Max sends Billy a photo of Ellis at the club, in a clear threat to his safety.
Billy rushes out into town to protect his brother, but will he get there before Max strikes?
Jay Kontzle, who plays Billy, revealed: "Billy's life will definitely be altered by what happens in the nightclub. It will be life-changing and it opens him up as a person, because there are a lot of things that he's been hiding about his personality.
"He's buried a lot of that inside, but in these episodes you see him open up. And afterwards I hope people will realise the character Billy is and the reason behind why he's been covering things up.
All the layers to Billy were one of the things I bought into when I went to the casting. It was his layers that I found interesting.
"When you go for a part as an actor, you need to find the underlying personality traits that you can either like, dislike or can involve yourself in.

"My favourite trait in Billy was his vulnerability and the fact he's got this anxious side. He is very loving but then he's so anxious and impulsive, which makes him make rash decisions.
"I think he is trying to do it all with a good heart but because he's impulsive it can go the wrong way for him. It explains why he does what he does.

"It's interesting to play but he does have to be accountable for his actions and that does make drama for the character."
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday, April 25 at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
